Trari Numtso Lake, the third largest lake in Xizang, is a fault depression lake with east-west structure and 4,613 meters' altitude. It is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, nearby wetlands and pastures. The lake water, mainly supplied by melted ice and snow, is blue and clear.
